In 2019, Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo launched the “Year of the Return” campaign that commemorated the 400-year anniversary of the start of the Transatlantic slave trade and beckoned Black folks from around the world to return to Ghana.
It was during this open welcome to African Diasporans from every continent that spurred a flocking of those eager to discover their genesis, their roots, their home.
This December, The Butterfly Effect will host their own Beyond The Return experience by guiding guests on a transformational journey through time, visiting preserved landmarks, notable monuments and encouraging a complete cultural immersion.
